Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices Workforce Development provides loan forgiveness opportunities for students who commit to building their careers in local mental health and substance use disorder services.
This initiative works across three key partners to strengthen the behavioral health workforce.
About the Program
The Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices Workforce Development program is a college loan forgiveness initiative established through the Lycoming-Clinton Joinder Board and administered by Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral HealthChoices.

The purpose is straightforward: increase access to high quality mental health and substance use disorder services across Lycoming and Clinton Counties by strengthening the local provider workforce.
The program supports bachelor’s and master’s level students in human services related fields by offering meaningful loan forgiveness. In return, participants commit to two years of full time employment with a participating behavioral health provider in Lycoming or Clinton County following graduation.
By aligning students, providers, colleges, and local behavioral health leadership, the Lycoming-Clinton Behavioral Health Workforce Development program helps build a sustainable, well trained workforce that serves our community long term.
